Garmin is pleased to announce the next generation of aviation portables, The Aera 500, 510, 550, and 560. The Aera series touchscreen portables all offer easy transition from flying to driving with an intuitive, icon-driven user interface. All fout Aera models feature crisp 4.3" QVGA widescreens, plus the simplicity of a single cable solution for power, music and datalink WX antenna options with the 510 and 560. For aviation, Aera combines colorfully detailed topography with built-in terrain/obstacles alerting. Preloaded SafeTaxi charts, AOPA data, XM Weather, high-resolution terrain, and airways are also available with selected models. The Aera 550 and 560 include free aviation database updates for one year. In the car, the dual-boot Aera Series offers the ease and simplicity of Garmin's industry leading Nuvi automotive navigators. All of the Aera series products feature City Nav NT mapping with audio call out of street names simplifying navigation. Premium versions also offer, lane assist, speed limit notification, traffic alerts and more. Four Aera models are available to suit your feature preferences and budget.
